Lacey And Larkin: Fighting For Equal Rights On Behalf Of Minority Communities In America

Racial discrimination is something that a lot of people in the country face, owing to the diverse communities that live in America. There are individuals in the country that do not believe in coexisting with others and are driven by a false sense of superiority.

A lot of times, these crimes against minority communities go unnoticed, especially when the people conducting these crimes are part of the system that is supposed to safeguard the people.

The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund was formed to provide aid to those who have been victims of any discrimination. The aim of the foundation is not only to help, but also uplift the minority communities in the country so that they can stand on their own two feet, and stand up for their rights. Since its inception, the organization has received an incredible response from people all over the country.

The Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund has changed the lives of numerous people all over the country and has given them new hope, assuring them that there is someone out there who cares about their justice and who is on their side. Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin are the founders of the Lacey and Larkin Frontera Fund. They decided to form this organization after they had to witness first hand what it was like to be discriminated and arrested for no fault of their own. Both Lacey and Larkin belonged to the Hispanic community and lived in the city of Phoenix in Arizona.

There was a lot of unrest among people of the Hispanic community, owing to the number of deportations that were happening in the state. The person who was behind a good number of these arrests was Joe Arpaio, who was considered to be one of the toughest sheriffs in all of America.

He was responsible for sending thousands of people back to their home country, claiming that they were living illegally in the country.

However, reports started emerging that a significant amount of these people did, in fact, have a valid green card, some of them even being born in America itself. Hearing about this, Lacey and Larkin decided to write about it in the newspaper that the two of them founded.

Soon after their article went public, they were arrested and taken from their homes in the middle of the night. They were taken against their will, and not told what they were being taken for, expect that these arrests were warranted by Joe Arpaio.

The arrests, however, were wrongfully conducted, since Joe Arpaio did not have the right permission to carry this out, and did not have a proper basis to detain them. Lacey and Larkin were both kept captive for a total of forty-eight hours before they were released. They decided to sue Joe Arpaio for what he did and used the settlement money to start the organization.
